Honeywell Distributor in Pakistan today announced the launch of the non flammable Solstice N15 (R-515B), a cold room effect (LGWP) alternative to R-134a for refrigeration and heat pump applications. A new cooler with GWP 299 (AR5) will be available later this year. It was exhibited at the Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigerating (AHR) Exhibition.

The Honeywell Distributor in Pakistan is approved by the Danfoss Compressor manufacturer for use with the new Turbocor TGS490 compressor for air or water cooling air conditioning. Turbocor TGS490 received the AHR Expo2020 Innovation Award in the Green Building category.


The Honeywell Distributor in Pakistan, product manager at Danfoss Bocoa, said: The all-new Turbocor TGS490 compressor is optimised for both refrigerants 1234ze and R.-515B. In short, customers can benefit from improved system performance. The refrigerating capacity of R-134a is also compatible with the low pressure characteristics of the new compressor. ""


As a non-flammable alternative to R-134A, Solstice N15 is ready to use by manufacturers of cooling and cooling pumps. As safety and building codes restrict the use of A2L and A3 coolers, product development similar to 1234ze will provide OEMs with a flexible and durable solution for A1 and A2L coolers.
