Honeywell Distributor in Pakistan Gets Tough Solstice

At Honeywell's request, Honeywell Distributor in Pakistan Customs seized a consignment of the R1234yf refrigerant. Which appears to have been manufactured without a license, in September. He later filed a patent infringement proceeding against a distributor.

Earlier this month, Honeywell filed two separate proceedings in Germany against Chinese manufacturers and distributors for attempting to sell and distribute illegal refrigerants in Germany.

The proceedings allege infringement of the Honeywell patent related to the manufacture of 1234yf and its use in car air conditioners.

"We work closely with law enforcement agencies and customs authorities around the world to prosecute offenders and counterfeiters of Solstice solutions and other products."

Last year, Honeywell assisted Chinese authorities in a similar abuse case in Shanghai. The Guangzhou District Court sentenced the man to nine months in prison for infringing Honeywell's intellectual property rights and fined him 50,000 yuan. The ruling was issued after months of investigating the fake man's factory.

Honeywell's refrigerant manufacturers have put an end to rumors of low GWP non-combustible alternatives by announcing about 730 Solstice N41 refrigerants for use in fixed air conditioners.

Manufacturers added that when it comes to the market, the Solstice N41, originally named R466A, has the world's lowest GWP and non-combustible refrigerants. It will be on the market in 2019.

R466A was originally assigned to A1.

The company added that the air conditioning industry is working to replace today's standard R410A refrigerants with energy-efficient, non-flammable, lower GWP solutions with comparable or better performance.

The Solstice N41 is the only cooler that combines these features.

Preliminary testing has shown that migrating to Solstice N41 requires minor

hardware changes. No additional training is required for installation and repair technicians. According to preliminary data, the cooler allows OEMs to easily convert from R410A.

"The cost of switching to Solstice N41 is lower than the cost of switching to a flammable refrigerant," a spokesman for the company added.

At this time, it is unknown what he will do with the R326A. This is because most DXAC device manufacturers already have R32 installed on their devices. In addition to the design changes required for the A2L, Honeywell Distributor in Pakistan will of course negotiate field tests with the OEM.
